Eligibility: Married hetero couples
The legal framework – Known as the Ukraine Family Codex, these laws provide legal support for the surrogacy process. They cover full surrogacy, where both the egg and sperm originate from the couple, and pregnancy surrogacy, where the sperm belongs to the biological father, but the egg is received via a donation. In both forms of surrogacy, the surrogate has no legal rights over the child, and only the couple are registered as the newborn’s parents.
Advanced medical Centers – Ukraine is becoming more and more popular with people who are opting to have IVF treatment overseas. There are over 30 IVF clinics operating in Ukraine according to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) but this number is sure to increase as Eastern Europe becomes a destination of choice for fertility treatment.
A wide range of surrogates and egg donors – Ukraine has a substantial range of women who have been vetted for the surrogacy process, with good physical and psychological health, lifestyles, and other factors. A large number of women are willing to be egg donors (and keep in mind that Ukrainian women are among the most beautiful in the world!). The surrogacy process in Ukraine can be completed within a relatively short and highly efficient timeframe thanks to our pool of available and suitable surrogates, combined with the Family Code of Ukraine, which simplifies registering the origins of a child who is born through fertility treatments. All egg and sperm donors are anonymous. For international patients, egg donors can be identifiable on unique occasions but only if the donor signs a voluntary consent of personal data disclosure.
